In a justice-driven operation today, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) engaged in combat with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its allied mercenaries in the Mellit locality in North Darfur State.

Our courageous soldiers secured a decisive victory, establishing full control over Mellit. The RSF successfully captured 46 fully equipped military vehicles, detained 70 mercenaries, and liberated camps previously held by the Gibril, Minawi, and Tambour movements. Our forces are now diligently pursuing those who fled the battlefield, taking charge of their prisoners and casualties.

Following the liberation of Mellit, our soldiers swiftly secured the area and established a committee to safeguard civilians and restore stability and security. We assure all residents that they are now safe.

We issue a stern warning to all mercenary groups against supporting the agenda of the extremist former regime, which aims to destabilize Darfur. Following the declaration issued by these groups abandoning neutrality, we are prepared to confront decisively all military aggression to protect innocent civilians and our own men.

Our victory today contributes to our heroic soldiers’ commendable record of success, which will be eternally honored in the annals of Sudanese history. Their triumphs represent our stalwart commitment to restoring to civilians governing authority and forging a renewed Sudanese state characterized by freedom, peace, inclusivity, and justice.
